CLAIMANT OF MAHDAVIYAT: AHMED ALHASAN YAMANI

Ahmed Alhassan’s full name Ahmed bin Ismail bin Saleh bin Hussain bin Salman. He was born in 1968 in a non-Sayed Family of Basra in Iraq. He is the leader of the Iraqi movement Ansar of Imam al-Mahdi and claims to be the saviour of mankind. He has also claimed that he is son of Imam Al-Mahdi, while people of Basra where he belongs to, know the name of his father and grand father and his family tree and confirm that he is a liar. Alternatively, he also claims to be al-Yamani, the eschatological leader from Yemen who will precede the return of Imam Mahdi(atfs) after the rise of Sufyani.

It is interesting, that he claims to be different personalities at the same time.  That is Al-Mahdi, son of Mahdi, Al-Yamani as well as the Pope all at the same time. His claims are on social media platforms and it is difficult to physically locate him and his followers who are just seen on videos posted on different channels.

History is a witness to the fact that several tyrants from Bani Ummayad and Bani Abbas have named their sons as ‘Mahdi’, and several people have claimed to be Imam Mahdi so as the claim authority over the simple-minded Muslims. There have been even instances of the Likes of Gulam Ahmed Qadiani and Mirza Husain Ali Bahaullah who have claimed to be Mahdi at the behest of imperialist trying to create confusion in Islamic societies. However, all of them miserably failed to eradicate injustice from society and establish a society based on justice as has been predicted for Imam Mahdi(atfs).

So, Ahmad Hasan is not an exception but just another addition to that long list of false claimants of the position of Imam Mahdi(atfs).
